Bill T @btreakle 5 days ago “The Storm” This movie The storm is a comedy with blood and gore and sax and you name it. Now personally I really didn't care for this one but I’m sure there’s those out there with different tastes tonight they will enjoy this film. To me it just didn’t make a whole lot of sense and I just couldn’t really get into the movie. But I’m not gonna give away what goes on in the movie I’m just saying that there is a lot of sexual scenes blood drugs etcetera in this movie. Do not recommend this film for anyone under 16. Throw in a gay couple, a bear and a man wearing an armour, and you have a perfect cocktail of cliches. Fantasy without imagination. Drugs without fun. Comedy without humour. What could be cute scandi escapism just leaves you wanting it to end and be the dog that got blown away by the wind Narrative techniques such as 60's kalaidescopic montages and talking artworks are clunky and irritating. It's a film that wants to be funny but tries way too hard and ends up falling flat on its face. Keep the meter running because this is a hilarious thrill ride into depravity and delight. I love seeing the quiet and collected character blow. Another Skarsgard triumph.
