Marco L @decatur555 Oct 22, 2026 It starts strongly and has a clever visual hook in the killer's masks, which turn identity, exposure and shame into part of the threat. The teen setting works, the pace is solid and Sydney Park gives the film a convincing center. The main problem is predictability. By the halfway point I had already worked out who the killer was, and once that happened the mystery lost much of its tension. The film also relies too heavily on familiar slasher rules: when a suspect is pushed too obviously, experienced viewers automatically know to look elsewhere. That is frustrating because the premise offered room to subvert those expectations. Still, it remains entertaining, has a few effective set pieces and never becomes boring. A decent teen slasher with some good ideas, but not enough nerve to break the genre rules it clearly knows so well.
