Tim Travers seeks to solve the time travelers paradox. The classic thought experiment of what would happen if you killed your past self. Would it--for example--literally destroy the universe? Tim Travers, self-hating mad genius, is going to find out! Along the way, he'll piss off an international crime syndicate led by Royce (Danny Trejo), engage in a battle of wills with conspiracy theorist radio host James Bunratty (Joel McHale) and even attempt to squeeze in a date in with the dangerously unstable Delilah (Felicia Day). Tim will have to learn how to literally coexist with the worst parts of himself, before his own demons destroy him and the universe with it.

This is an exhausting indie romp on the subject of time travel, and sometimes plays like a funnier version of Shane Carruth’s time-travel classic Primer -- well, slightly funnier.

Tim Travers and the Time Traveler’s Paradox struggles to deliver a coherent or engaging story. The premise of time travel and paradoxes is intriguing, but the execution falls flat. Pacing is slow, scenes are repetitive, and dialogue often feels bloated without advancing the plot. Characters are underdeveloped, making it hard to connect with their journey or care about the stakes. The film drifts into corny or absurd territory, undermining any sense of credibility, and the visuals, while functional, do not enhance the story. Attempts at suspense or clever time travel concepts are poorly realized, leaving the audience confused and disengaged. Overall, it feels like a wasted opportunity. Only general audiences curious about the concept may find minor enjoyment, but for anyone seeking a polished, thoughtful, or thrilling sci-fi adventure, this film is difficult to recommend.

I can admit the movie was interesting, the way watching a toddler crawl around corners to make sure you're watching their tantrum is interesting. The performances were good, the film is well shot and constructed - the problem is that evenually you figure out that this movie is the filmakers tantrun. A puerile exercise in narcissism and nihilism attempting to wrap the filmaker's ennui in a message of "accept yourself even if you are an evil person who kills without empathy and are willing to destroy the universe to prove it has no meaning." Some people will be confused by the trappings and think this is deep or brave - but it's anything but either. A silly and juvenile romp through metaphysical muck. Avoid.

This was a rip roaring fun film. Smarmy and acerbic, the titular title character Tim Travers is hilarious to watch in all of his varying iterations. Don't pass up this indie comedy!
