Following a childhood tragedy, Dewey Cox (John C. Reilly) follows a long and winding road to music stardom. Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, o filme não parecia ser muita comédia, parece um drama biográfico de cantor com um certo drama e que também teve cenas pequenas de comédias que não deram certo, e se filme focasse em cenas de comédias mais engraçadas, do que músicas e cantoria o filme seria melhor.
