...it’s the kind of horror that plays within the rules in the way that should satisfy mainstream audiences. Horror fans should lap it up, but casual viewers should get the adrenalin shot of Satanic Panic that makes for the right kind of viewing mayhem...

We Summon the Darkness is a wickedly funny and delicious piece of genre cinema. It's a horror film that doesn't necessarily aim to scare or terrorise us but to take us on a gnarly rollercoaster ride along with its doomed characters.

And you couldn't just go out to the perfectly functional sheriff's car with the keys probably in it (or on his body)? It's like that GEICO Hallowen commercial with the teenagers running into the the chainsaw shack and one of the girls imploring, "Why don't we get into the running car?" Eye-rolling inducing kind of movie. But two strong stars for the closing credits song Heart and Soul by T'Pau. You know I was singing along - A little bit, little bit!
