The lil girl was a good actor the story was awful. (B-) See more Torin F @nonlinearize 06/16/2024 WENDY is an ambitious and unconventional take on the classic tale, and benefits from the same directorial approach that made Beasts of the Southern Wild such a remarkable film debut. Wendy has an impressive young cast, and succeeds in establishing an atmosphere all its own. The film departs from the classic Peter Pan tale in odd ways, however, offering its own idiosyncratic and deeply melancholy take on growing old, and the plot seems to accord with the movie's internal fantasy logic while not maintaining any consistent metaphoric insight.
