What to Know

Critics Consensus

Nathan Fielder's ironclad commitment to the bit is pushed to its limit in You Can See Everything, an inscrutable Rorschach Test of Elizabeth Holmes' psyche that's as absorbing as it is haunting.

You Can See Everything flips the documentary form on its head, adding surreal layers to this complex portrait of Holmes and her life -- with questions about how much of either can truly be seen.

The most impressive thing about You Can See Everything is the way it recognizes the dangers of parody and makes room for Holmes’s humanity. Go to Full Review

Nathan does what he does best, making this story a playground so he can boobytrap reality with artifice. It's thrilling, dizzying and leaves you with an overwhelming feeling of distrust that resonates with the mood and anxiety of the moment we're all in. Go to Full Review

Revels in long pauses and suggestive silences. Very often, those pauses contain multitudes. They are the pauses that professional documentary-makers cut out of their movies. You will be glad Fielder and Oppenheim left them in. Go to Full Review

hmm 38 min ago I didn’t understand this at all. It’s unusual for a documentary filmmaker himself to appear in 100% of the movie. I’m not sure what his purpose or motivation. To uncover was. And Amanda Seyfried’s participation is also curious. Maybe I’m just Not that smart. Went over my head See more Angelique 1 hr ago I really enjoyed this documentary. It takes you on a mind bending ride and you start to question your own understanding of people’s behavior. I found myself going through several emotions from empathy to anger and then questioning what I was witnessing. I love the turn this movie took and the ability to provide a perspective that I was not expecting but also helping to reinforce what I already know to be true. Wild ride for sure.
