It’s not hard to love Young Woman and the Sea. Handsomely crafted and beautifully presented, the movie seems to be the only Disney production made this year with soul and humanism behind and in front of the camera.

I’m glad I got the chance to see it. Though labelled as ‘feel-good’, this film is more than that. It’s a reminder of how far women’s sports has come, and how much bigotry we’ve had to wade through to get here.

It was the best feel good movie I have seen in a while. The sets were well done. Similar to the Tenement Museum in New York. I always enjoy the actual footage of the original story from the 1920s that was at the end. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

This is one of the few movies out right now worth watching. Incredible true story. Great actors. Beautiful music. Rich, heartfelt, gripping screenplay. It kept a fast pace to the great end. Love!

Good movie, great for a family. A little over the top re the villain (though I will have to read the book and then assess) and the physique of the Trudy was not consistent with a swimmer, nor was it consistent with the actual video footage of the real Trudy.
