And the filming was bad too, some scenes looked generated and sometimes kind of foggy. See more Marco L @decatur555 Aug 9, 2026 I liked this quite a lot, mainly because it does something rare in Spanish cinema: real action, with rhythm, chases, violence, espionage and visual ambition, without apologising for being action. It's a direct spy thriller of secrets and betrayals. It doesn't reinvent anything, but it keeps moving. Dani de la Torre knows what kind of film he's making and isn't embarrassed to approach Bourne territory. Then there's Mario Casas, who finally seems like an actor: for years I found him monochrome, but here there is more nuance and control, and he works best when he simply reacts. Luis Zahera plays in another league, and every time he appears the film improves. The ending gets tangled with too much explaining, but I prefer a Spanish film that is a bit too ambitious to one that doesn't try. I had a great time. If it made Mario Casas look like an actor, it did something right. Slow, prodding, ambiguous plot that could have been much more interesting and watchable, but was interupted and weighed down with excess flashback detours that didn't connect well, and disrupted the flow of the story. The minimal action included is just too slick and unrealistic, including unlimited mazazine capacity, no reloading, bad guys walking into bullets, good guys that never miss, female lead beating up multiple guys twice her size, etc. See more Read all reviews
